These rod risers are for existing customers that do not have these included with their original mk1 compact alarms. All new alarm purchases have these Rod Risers already included in the presentation box sets.
The Rod Risers were an idea of mine going back years, replacing the storm ears off your mk1 compacts with the rod risers you get increased rod angled elevation. great for European fishing where you want your lines suspended over snags or sunken tree roots. or even river fishing where you want your tips high in the air. we've done the tests and you can literally get your rods pointing skywards. far more than any other alarm out there in the market place. they lift your rod higher off the alarm so as you increase the vertical angle your rod doesn't hit the roller wheel. what those other manufacturer alarms do is you get an acute front face point where the rod is clinging onto the alarm front face as you go more and more skywards, well with the rod risers you get the support at the back off the alarm and this enables the rod to be safely and properly gripped and also maintaining perfect line lay over the roller wheel.
