`Hi Scott, just over four weeks on from receiving the new mk1 compacts and six sessions on the bank using them, im still over the moon with them, excellent bite indication, no false bleeps, had this week off work and fished two venues, completely different with each other, had nine fish, four of which were over 20lb, im buzzing, thanks again Scott!

I think you'll agree sounds like Nicks had a great week off work and well and truly got amongst the Carp! 

0ver the years, months, days! I always amass a great spectrum of customer photos that ive spotted on the net or have been emailed  or texted into me that have got some form or other an ecu product in the shot.
These photos show a few pics of the  ecu optonic upgrades I did for a  long time aswel as the mk1 compacts that we all now no. im always interested to see what anglers are using regarding rods, reels, hangers etc. I think we all have a fascination with set ups to some degree. for me it started as a school boy walking round the uk north west pits and admiring the cardinal 55 reels and the converted optonics and wishing I too could afford a set up like what some of the older lads were using. theres only so much status you can get with using silstar rods! this was in the 1980 period. but we all start somewhere. the silstar rods were dropped after a summer or two and I finally managed when I was about 18 to get dam quick stick carp rods. now these had some looks to them, deep chestnut blanks and leather wrapped butt handle finished off with abreviated duplon around the fuji reel seats. I was finally starting to look like a carp angler. my first carp reels were Mitchell 225ORD reels. that I blacked out and debadged.....enjoy the photos ;)

ecu customer Darren Teague recently sent in a couple of shots of his mk1 compacts, I thought kudos had done such a great job giving them some tweeks with custom hangers, custom snag ears and matching hanger brackets that id share the photos. Darren`s been on the vinnetrow syndicate targeting some of the special carp that reside in that southern big fish water. Darren writes..."As u can see p**sing down nonstop all night and all morning plus basia reel went wrong had to use marker reel this is the tight sluice swim at vinny 10 mins after this pic had a take...."
Darrens rods are custom Harrison torrix rods with some lovely abbreviated cork on them.
reels are daiwa basia reels.
